Background
About Scot More
Scot More is a dedicated advocate for those experiencing homelessness. He manages the Houston Community Voice Mail Program (HCVM). This system provides individuals with a free and safe phone number message system that allows those phoneless to communicate with case managers, potential employers, family, medical providers, and others. Additionally, Scot coordinates and facilitates the Homeless Court Program in partnership with the City of Houston’s Municipal Courts. This is a special Court session for homeless defendants to resolve outstanding misdemeanor offenses and warrants, within the City of Houston’s Municipal Courts. It’s a grass roots development and has become the first officially sanctioned homeless court in Texas. Houston Homeless Court’s greatest achievement is the removal of barriers for homeless participants and building a more inclusive criminal justice system with a stronger community Specialties: Client Centered
