The variety in my career has given me a wide range of experience and adaptability. I still approach work with an engineer's mindset of analyzing and solving problems. As a teacher, I've worked with 7 year olds, eager Ivy League athletes and recalcitrant 9th graders. The Bayfield Rec Center and Dartmouth Crew were both challenging situations that few people thought could succeed. Dartmouth was too small and too cold to train a winning crew. The Bayfield Rec Center was losing annually and would never pay for itself. I led both organizations to success and profitability with energy, creativity and inspiration. Both jobs required doing everything top-to-bottom, from grant writing, vision planning and recruiting to fixing boats, treadmills and plumbing. I will bring this large toolkit to my next career, along with the same hustle that won the Eastern Sprint Championships and saved a small town pool and rec center.
