About Scott Axsom

A production manager overseeing manufacturing operations, supervising crews, and maintaining quality and safety standards for more than 19 years. I have exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills, and demonstrated abilities to pay close attention to detail, and implement strategic scheduling and planning. Additionally, I have a talent for assessing production issues, and inventory management. I train and motivate my teams, control operations and labor, utilizing LEAN principles and 5S strategies to implement continuous production process improvements. I have excellent written and verbal communications and relationship building skills, and possess key understandings on how to succeed utilizing LEAN manufacturing principles. Firstly, to recognize the importance of coaching and motivating employees to work independently and to handle actions as a team. Secondly, to ensure that my leadership adds value and to delegate those tasks that don’t directly need me to complete them. Thirdly, look for ways to simplify tasks and duplication of effort. My strengths lay in processes that are important in the manufacturing and production work force: Lean manufacturing, 5S, inventory control, pull systems, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems. I look forward to my next position in the Manufacturing arena.
