About Scott Ayers

I am a senior at Middle Tennessee State University and will graduate in May. I'm currently beginning to look for internships and other roles in the supply chain field. I was a physics major when I first started college, but after four semesters, I realized that physics was not what I wanted to do and took a semester off to think about what I should study instead. I used the semester to work in the meantime and found a job at the local Wal-Mart distribution center 6062. During my time there, I discovered a previously unknown passion I had for logistics and operations. How the managers coordinate and keep the workers and trucks running intrigued me and gave me a newfound respect for truckers and those involved in the supply chain. When I returned to college, I knew what I wanted to study and went into my current major with newfound vigor. This change has led me to take all new classes giving me new skills in Excel and the supply chain field. Additionally, I got promoted to be the student manager at my on-campus job at the MTSU Creamery. This job has improved and refined my skills in leadership and communication. Now I'd like to begin the next chapter of my life, use the skills and knowledge I've gained from college, and take it someplace new.
