Background
About Scott Beatty
I'm author of more than a dozen encyclopedic children’s books, several entertainment-based how-to handbooks, as well as multiple young adult novels in the science fiction and fantasy milieu for such publishing industry leaders as Dorling Kindersley, Chronicle Books, Quirk Books, and Disney Press. I have written the exploits of such iconic characters as Batman & Robin, Superman, The Phantom, Buck Rogers, Scooby-Doo, and countless others, all of which are presently at a cultural high-point in recognition and popularity. I've also written several hundred comic book stories for DC Comics and other publishers including CrossGen Entertainment, Dark Horse Comics, Dynamite Entertainment, and IDW Publishing. My most notable releases include ROBIN: YEAR ONE, BATGIRL: YEAR ONE, NIGHTWING: YEAR ONE, BATMAN: GOTHAM KNIGHTS, JOKER: LAST LAUGH, GEN13, NUMBER OF THE BEAST, RUSE, BUCK ROGERS, THE LAST PHANTOM, and many others. Most of these releases have been collected as best-selling trade paperbacks and critically acclaimed graphic novels.
