About Scott Bello

Currently, I'm working for Navitas Systems, LLC. and over the past 9+ years we grew from 5 to 200+ employees. As a growing business, I feel one of the biggest contribution to the company success is to keep our department small and efficient while helping other departments achieve success. Since we are a Govt. contractor in the energy field, I feel another accomplishment is that I created and modified processes that has and will continue to pass annual DOE and DCMA audits. This involved creating our chart of accounts, all of our financial stmts, plus working with other the departments to create govt. compliant process and procedures. During my tenure, I also created and own our timekeeping, job cost, payroll, and labor absorption systems that allow us to measure EE's efficiency. In addition our labor processing system will continue to allow us to invoice our customers, pay our EE's, provide product budget vs actual job reports, as well as many other projects. Besides the Govt/Defense accounting duties, I have mixed in a lot of manufactured accounting experience. Since we are a product development company, we transition products and ideas from our R&D contracts to FG production for the public sector. Therefore, I've successfully lead efforts to reduce our cost & qty variances while improving yields as our products moved from a R&D state to large qty FG production. Also, I have lead teams and own processes that involve our in our cycle count, annual physical inventory, inventory valuation and BOM auditing. Another unique experience, was that I actively participated in the company merger with East Penn Manufacturing during 2019. This is involved providing detailed analysis of our Inventory, WIP, and Capital equipment. Also, reviewing past in incoming purchases to validate that it should be part of the purchase price. What I liked most in my career, is the efforts I lead that has made other team member jobs easier and enjoyable.
