My journey started as a boilermaker 8 years as a Boilermaker welder tradesman with the nsw state railways. Boilermaker in open cut mines in the hunter valley region NSW 30 years in the telecommunications industry in Australia on the telecom /telstra C.A.N/ NBN co networks Brief work history Started out as a apprentice boilermaker,i worked at several boiler making work shops through out my apprenticeship My most fondest was at NSW state rail in Redfern foundry However I spent some time at the railways in a few boiler shops such as Redfern loco /glyde burn / chullora carriage works then Leichhardt mains After a few years at Leichhardt mains lines depot I found a great interest in signalling that somehow lead me into telecommunications and I finally got a gig with telecom at the north Sydney depot Then a few years later i ended up in the subcontracting world on the optus roll out,which lead me into a mentoring role at vision stream on the can project After the can project finished up I then contracted to semins thesis and transfield and a few others along the way,Such as comet that became BSA, then moved over to servicestream on the I&M contract Following the contracts around in the contracting world,i had a few years with Telstra / isgm as a mentor then back too servicestream This is where i tweaked my skills as a fibre / copper technician I Completed my cert 4 to be internal trainer assessor with my current role being a Field supervisor on the NBN network with service stream NSW/ACT So there you go linked inners thats my working life to date and i have enjoyed everything and everywhere I have ended up,through the thick and thin its been a blessed journey Thanks for looking Regards Scottybenson
