About Scott Bertulli

I represent corporate clients in complex patent disputes and have litigated several high-profile patent infringement cases. I engage in all phases of the litigation process, from pre-suit investigations through trial preparation. In particular, my practice includes development of infringement or invalidity contentions, hands-on analysis of infringing products and technical documents, and management of expert and source code discovery.In addition to litigation, I am registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, and represent both Petitioners and Patent Owners in inter partes review proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. I steer all phases of the inter partes review process, including development of Petitions and Patent Owner Responses, handling unique additional discovery and briefing issues, and preparing for and taking deposition of experts and other declarants. I have also argued before the PTAB at oral hearings.My work has spanned a broad range of technology fields, including video encoding, end-to-end content delivery systems, video on demand systems, vapor mitigation systems, semiconductor device fabrication, power supplies, microelectromechanical systems, laser pumping systems and a variety of consumer electronics.
