About Scott Brennan

Owner and President of Alternative Aire Inc. A residential and light commercial green HVAC company located in Durham, NC. Alternative Aire was started by myself and Danny Johnson in 2009. We worked full time for other companies, and night/weekends for Alternative Aire. We built our reputation and customer base for two years and went full time at the beginning of 2012. We did over $500k of work in 2012 and are enjoying over 100% growth in 2013. We do great work for a fair price. We are "Working in your comfort zone". May previous life was electronic contract manufacturing. Specifically process and quality engineering. I have worked in some form of manufacturing for more than 20 years. I have experience in everything from complex PCBA and cable assemblies to fiber optic systems and complex system level assembly. I prefer the challenge of the mechanicals because there are not as many standardized tools available for conveying process information to a factory floor, and thus more creatively challenging. I also have extensive experience within the construction industry and have a General Contractor's License as well as a Mechanical H2 and H3 license. I am interested in Green Building Initiatives, and Solar Energy applications. I have worked within the contract manufacturing sector for approx. 14 years. I would like to transition to a small/medium size company as an NPI Engineer. I enjoy the challenge of bringing diverse groups of people together to create a positive outcome. Specialties: Sig Sigma Greenbelt and Project Management, Extrensive experience with New Product Introduction and transfer to low cost geometries, Cost Engineering, Design for Manufacturability, HVAC, NATE certified, Master Certificates in Project Management.
