Responsible for the engineering and operations of IT infrastructure for the Verizon Network Systems organization. Performed operations of all critical network supporting systems for consumer, enterprise and wholesale businesses including network provisioning, inventory, activation and dispatch. Provide support, availability and stability of the test, production and disaster recovery environment for over 40 mission and business critical applications and database support for over 125 applications. Global team consists of over 60 managers, technicians and contractors. Perform all budget, staffing and administrative management duties and manage annual budgets of over $50M through strategic program support. Managed multiple application implementations from AAIS to IVAPP, migrations for tech refreshes, system consolidation, data center closures and sales of systems/support to external companies. Architect, implement and manage multiple state of the art systems in support of organizational objectives with direct impact to revenue. Excellent communication and presentation skills, responsible for regular updates and presentations to executive leadership up to and including CIOs as well as vendor management of IBM and Oracle. I have driven automation of monitoring and zero down time deployments of several applications. I have also driven business resiliency efforts across the FiOS provisioning, activation and dispatch systems resulting in active-active configurations and reducing disaster recovery implementation from over 4 hours to under 30 minutes. My focus continues to be on the business centers and service to our customers. I work across organizational lines with other IT organizations and business customers to automate functions and improve support. Currently driving DevOps and Agile in support of speed and stability as well as migrations from on-prem data centers and private cloud to public cloud including Amazon AWS and Oracle OCI.
