About Scott Dimmick

I became a uniformed police officer at the age of 22, to save the world, as I believe most law enforcement officers want to accomplish. After becoming bored and experiencing the "thrill" of arresting multiple wanted fugitives and followed up the very next night with arresting a pair of armed robbers, I jumped head first into being an undercover narcotics agent for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Doing narcotics investigations eventually lead to a career with the Drug Enforcement Administration with assignments in New York City; Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; Cochabamba, Bolivia, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and Kabul, Afghanistan. On July 1, 2019, I was present in Kabul, Afghanistan and experienced a complex, suicide bombing, involving a Vehicle Borne Improvised Explosive Device, otherwise known as a VBIED. After the attack was suppressed, I estimated I heard, saw or felt the effects of twenty such incidents during my various assignments to Afghanistan. Now I am a uniformed patrol officer for Dickinson College, located in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. I previously spent many weekends at Dickinson College football games and gravitated to a position where I could assist, mentor, support, provide safety and well being to students of Dickinson College and the entire Campus Community.
