About Scott Elofson

Scott is the Design Principal of HDR’s Minneapolis office, leading the studio’s design efforts over multiple markets and project types. With over 28 years of experience working for prominent Twin Cities firms, his work on healthcare facilities, sports arenas, civic buildings, arts institutions, transportation projects and urban design lends itself well to his role. He is involved in the design of all aspects of these projects, from initial marketing and conceptual architectural beginnings, to built work. He has an eye for detail, craftsmanship and function, and seeks out innovative materials, systems and approaches in a rigorous process of exploration. As a firm believer in the power of collective design and collaboration across disciplines, Elofson leverages HDR’s global expertise to solve complex problems and create thoughtfully beautiful buildings, spaces and environments.
