Who I Am I am a results-driven network engineering professional who brings a lot of energy and passion to his job. I enjoy a challenge and am always excited to learn new technologies and the various ways to implement them. I question, answer, and communicate openly and honesty about successes, failures, and progress. I take smart, strategic risks and are accountable for my successes and failures. What I Do My expertise is working with Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, and Aruba equipment configuring Routing and Switching solutions. I am experienced with Cisco Voice, Wireless, Load Balancing, Firewalling and VPN technologies. I have worked building documentation, tooling, standards documents, and planning docs. How Do I Do What I Do I keep an eye on how I can make processes better or change the process so it’s more streamlined or cleaner. Some things are meant to take a long time to get done, and that is okay; but if I’m able to alter the outcome by changing the process for a more favorable outcome, then that’s the prize at the end of it. Why I Do What I Do I believe in importance of what I do; every day I see the difference I make in people’s lives. I strive to find a balance between working hard and maintaining my personal life with family and friends. Relationships are really the key to everyone’s happiness. My Passion, Skills, Strengths, Expertise I love troubleshooting problems and I am good at it. I am exceptionally good at taking processes and turning them into documented repeatable processes for others to follow. What Makes Me Unique My ability to strike up a conversation with just about anyone probably makes me unique. I have a talent for understanding people quickly, how to navigate conversation in an engaging way. My Superpowers Truth telling. It may seem unorthodox, but if something hits the fan, we need to know why, where, how, what the impact was, how long it lasted, and is the fan still spinning, or is it going to stop again. Can we fix the fan, or is it time to replace the fan? What Makes Me Compelling My experience is incredibly vast. Far more than can ever be explained on a simple 2-page document meant to describe one’s professional experience. What Do People Think of You That I am enjoyable to be around, am light hearted, and that I am easy to understand. I enjoy a challenge and working with others to find a solution.
