About Scott Friedenstab

Scott is a graduate of the University of Alberta’s Mining Engineering program. As an employee of Norwest Corporation, Scott has worked on a variety of projects with different roles and responsibilities within multi-disciplined teams. Highlights include resource evaluation, short and long range planning, mine scheduling, and mine design and optimization. In August 2014, Scott attained his professional designation as a Professional Engineer with APEGA. Scott’s extensive technical experience is complimented by his project management and mentoring skills. As the mining lead on several of Norwest’s mining projects, Scott was responsible for overseeing project progress, reviewing project work, mentoring EIT’s, and liaising with the client to ensure project success. As a Project Engineer on an industrial construction project, Scott was responsible for overseeing project financials, reporting, invoicing, and contributed to the HSE program. With over two years of on-site experience, Scott’s dedication to HSE programs is unwavering. Scott has assisted in developing safe operating procedures, field observations to ensure program compliance, and overseeing employee recognition and discipline.
