Background

About Scott Geesey

Especially for Linkedin. Nope, I’m not a rockstar or a ninja. The costumes cost too much. Not an empowered self-starter, makes me wonder if I should be wearing a battery pack and push button somewhere. Of course I’m an innovator – it’s the 21st century, all this technology demands it. But don’t get me started on data-driven, we’re drowning in data today. Paralysis by analysis. My ecosystem? I don’t always eat healthy, sorry. A scalable team player? Only if I have to climb over someone playing Twister. If a thought leader means I haven’t grown too old not to have thoughts, then that’s me. I leverage that with decent looks and a pretty darn good voice. I checked my closet – apparently I don’t wear many hats. But I did level up a bookshelf recently. If you’re talking about my 2008 CRV with miles then I’ve driven a lot of sales results. For a proven track record I’d have to dig out my numbers from my high school track team. Ran a mean 100 yard hurdles – mean meaning I was awful. But I was dynamic on stage as a high school thespian. Probably the only time I pivot and move the needle is when I switch my latest blood donation from my left arm to the right. And as a warrior I only use a disrupter when I’m fighting Klingons. I never deep dive for fear I’ll hit the bottom of the think tank. I don’t push envelopes, I still lick them. I never think in boxes, too stuffy in there and out of my comfort zone. Can’t focus a laser except that cheap pointer thingy. And of course we want a win-win – when one side of the partnership loses it’s not worth doing. I suppose my new normal is that ache I feel in my left knee. I’m an analog native who still remembers watching five TV channels as a kid and I learned digital. A hustler was that magazine my folks would NEVER let me see. Work hard play hard? You’re supposed to ENJOY playing something. I don’t even know what iterate means. And “entrepreneurial mindset” is just too long to type or think about. Growth hacking? Would love to get down to a size 36 pair of pants. And why on earth would I keep a wheel in my house? What good are boots in the air? So if you’re buying in to this message, perhaps drop me a line. Slightly older guy with a sense of humor who enjoys writing, speaking and creating, retirement is years away. Too much fun still to be had coming up with interesting angles that WORK. After all that I’m hungry – where’s that low hanging fruit?
