About Scott Guillerault

I am the Fire Chief and Emergency Management Director of the City of Ellsworth, Maine, where I lead a team of 20 full-time, 2 Part-time and 5 on-call firefighters and paramedics who serve and protect our community. I have been in the fire and EMS service for over 30 years, starting as a volunteer firefighter in 1991 and advancing through the ranks in various municipal (volunteer and combination), county, and industrial fire departments. My core competencies include team leadership, recruiting, incident management, and training. I hold a BS in Fire Science, a certificate in Paramedicine, and a Fire Officer 3 certification, among others. I am also a certified coach for high school and college lacrosse teams, where I share my passion and values with young athletes. My mission is to empower and support my team, my co-workers, and the volunteers I recruit and retain, to help them achieve their own success and growth. I am proud to be the Fire Chief of Ellsworth, and to continue this amazing journey with a renewed excitement and commitment.
