Background

About Scott Haeffner

I am very fortunate to have started my lean journey at The Torrington Company. My initial assignments included participation on inaugural setup reduction teams. As a team member, I discovered first-hand the critical responsibility of management facilitating improvement activities. It was very rewarding to enable subject matter experts (machine operators) to voice their opinions and significantly influence the manufacturing success. This fundamental experience influenced my entire career. I have worked relentlessly to engage, mentor and unleash the collective wisdom within manufacturing facilities and develop a portfolio of lean leadership techniques. I am equipped to apply lean six sigma skills and create self-directed work teams to significantly change a manufacturing facility My approach has been significantly influenced by the work of Dr. W. Edward Deming, Dr. Shigeo Shingo and Mr. Taiichi Ohno.
