Let's just be honest, if you're like me, your idea of relaxing on days off does not involve work related social media (LinkedIn). However, if you're like me.you like to be the BEST; not so you can brag, or for others to talk about you.it's more so you can relax, and know that you gave your all. I put more pressure on myself than any superior has ever placed upon me. Why? Because I've always understood that my job is to make my superior look great.whether that was when I was a very little kid (parents, grandparents), a high school student flipping burgers (manager), a Nuke Sailor in the Navy (Commanding Officer), a Set Up, a Process Tech (Supervisor), a Supervisor (Production Manager, Plant Manager).the name of the game is make your 'boss' look good.I get that. I've worked for a number of people over the years.some ruled with an 'Iron Fist', and some motivated you to 'want' to do a good job. I would hope that my folks would say, I'm a 'straight forward', yet compassionate leader.I lead by example.I'm not going to ask anything of you I wouldn't be willing to do myself. Bottom line.at the end of the day, I leave knowing that we did our best.
