About Scott Harding

With over 30 years of experience and a three-decade tenure at SCI, I am passionate about driving strategic growth, mentoring emerging talent, and building lasting relationships with clients and stakeholders. Since joining SCI in 1994, I have had the privilege of playing a key role in advancing our mission and expanding our impact. From founding the Natural Resources Consulting Group to leading our national expansion, I’ve focused on delivering visionary leadership and measurable results. In addition to my role as CEO, I am proud to serve on several boards, including the Southern Illinois Builder’s Association, the American Council of Engineering Companies – Illinois, and the Southwestern Illinois Leadership Council. These opportunities allow me to give back to the industry while helping shape its future. Mentoring the next generation of professionals is one of my greatest passions, as I enjoy sharing the knowledge I’ve gained over the years to support their success. I hold a Master’s degree in Pedology (Soil Classification) and a Bachelor of Science in Soil Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I am also a Professional Soil Classifier and Soil Scientist.
