About Scott Hardy

I am currently seeking a professional position that would transition me from my current position in the hospitality field into a related customer service role. With my background working in the realms of customer service, recreation, and education/therapy most of my adult career, I feel well suited for a position that holds “building customer rapport” in high regard. I have been a licensed professional United States Coast Guard captain since 2014 and have worked for the same charter sailing company on St. Pete Beach since 2006. In the early I accepted a position as the waterfront recreation supervisor for Eckerd College. Supervising student workers and coaching them through the trials of college life, academics, and financial aid/finances was all part of the job. Having really enjoyed mentoring and teaching, I moved into elementary education and school based physical therapy in Manatee County. Each of these positions tapped into my love of and knack for human services and customer service. I am transitioning out of my current career path as a Yacht Captain with Dolphin Landings due to an industry wide slow down during and post Covid. I am currently running sailing charters while I seek a compatable fit for my new career in the customer service/eco tourism field. I look forward to putting my passion for education, leadership, customer service, and a desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others, to work in a new and exciting career. Please feel free to message me if you know of any openings or pathways into this industry.
