As a structural engineer at Burns & McDonnell I am able to put to work my love of math and science to solve problems for our clients. The grade school days of building structures with marshmallows and toothpicks were truly where I got my start. I'm truly passionate about the success of my colleagues and our clients - a mentality that is nowhere more evident than the culture at Burns & Mac. My structural engineering work is predominantly in the Energy sector focusing on structural design for air quality control systems on coal-fired power plants as well as construction of new gas-fired units. I have spent time designing in the commercial and architectural sectors having an opportunity to design a five-star hotel and apartments along with commercial office buildings in an urban revitalization project in Doha, Qatar. My experience also touches in the oil & gas sector as well as the manufacturing sector having designed portions of ethanol plants, a liquid propane storage facility as well as a commercial jet engine test facility. They say if you love what you do, you'll never work a day in your life - in my experience, it's true!
