Background
About Scott Hippert
Seasoned national nonprofit executive. Providing leadership to organizations, initiatives, and leaders to ensure their success, effectiveness, impact, and sustainability. I have led organizations at the national, state and local levels, and provided national leadership to facilitate innovation and collaboration among organizations. My main focus, deepest passion, and greatest impact over the years has been in the advancement of early childhood and family support initiatives. My core belief is that every single child must be provided equal opportunities to be healthy, safe and nurtured, successful in school and life, and be surrounded by loving adults who create for the child a pathway for happiness. I approach my work through the lenses of doing what is proven to succeed at the most universal scale, embracing innovation to increase positive impact, and by following proven standards of business and communications acumen. Honesty, integrity, and simple common sense are hallmarks of my approach. Due to the pandemic, an anticipated short-term role turned into almost 4 years as E.D. of the Minnesota Transportation Museum, where I worked to ensure the success, community impact, and sustainability of the organization which is celebrating over 60-years of historic preservation, community education, and fascinating experiences. I was pleased to turn over the keys to a new and innovative executive director in 2023. In August 2024 I assumed the interim E.D. role at Dakota Woodlands, a shelter for homeless families in Eagan, MN. In 4 months we positively rebuilt the program team, strengthened partnerships, improved service to clients, and established a culture of teamwork. I am pleased to turn over leadership of Dakota Woodlands to its new permanent executive director. Honored to be serving on the Board of Directors for both the first and last organizations where I served in senior leadership: The Family Partnership and Minnesota Transportation Museum. Currently open to new opportunities to be of service to the nonprofit community.
