My current role is the Commanding Officer of the Passaic County Sheriff's Department Firearms Training Unit and the S.W.A.T. team. As the department Range Master, I implemented and oversee the Firearms Training Unit. The Firearms Training Unit is responsible for training all sworn personnel in the use of firearms, deadly force, OC and chemical agents. In addition, I have developed a progressive training program that was recognized with a Unit Citation for the entire Firearms Training Unit. As Head Range Master for the Passaic County Police Academy I'm responsible for training recruits in basic firearms marksmanship and maintenance and use of deadly force as well as training in-service officers in firearms classes such as: Firearms instructor, Sub-machinegun operator, Tactical pistol operations and Assault rifle operator. S.W.A.T. responsibilities are: High Risk Search/Arrest Warrants Barricaded Subjects Hostage Rescue High Risk Prisoner Transportation Sniper/Counter-Sniper Executive/Witness Protection Any situation that calls for tactical support or weapons expertise As the Passaic County Sheriff's Department Armorer, I'm responsible for the care and maintenance of all department owned firearms as well as keeping an accurate inventory of ammunition. In addition, I'm responsible for purchasing all firearms, ammunition and range equipment for department.
