The most remarkable analysis provides no value if the audience is distracted by poorly designed presentations or incoherent reports. That's why I focus on clarity and transparency when communicating insights with management. To provide these useful insights, collaborating with others across various departments and functions is essential. While I am adept at solving problems on my own, I believe that different perspectives can lead to better solutions. As a manager, I've failed if I believe that I'm the smartest person in the room. My role is to find teammates that have the skills or knowledge that the team lacks and who can provide different viewpoints. I encourage my team to take ownership of their projects while providing them with guidance and challenging their recommendations. My goal is to enable them to reach their full potential. While I haven't had the opportunity to manage a large team, I am fully confident in my ability to manage a team of any size. As the size of the team grows, I must spend more time as a facilitator than as a contributor to ensure success. I am an experienced Property & Casualty Actuary with a demonstrated history of working with local and international business partners in the commercial insurance industry. A large percentage of my career has been in Professional Lines (D&O, E&O, EPL, Cyber, etc.) Reserving, but I also have Pricing experience. I am an excellent communicator who strives for clarity and transparency while taking a holistic view. I prefer listening to talking, but I am never afraid to share my point of view or express my opinion even when it isn't popular. While a cursory review of my experience may lead one to believe that my career has been stagnant, I would strongly disagree. There has never been a routine year since I began working at XL Professional in 2003. I've gone through multiple internal structural changes, mergers and acquisitions, market transitions, financial crises, and more. I've also had the opportunity to work with a lot of great people throughout my career. My focus has never been on getting the best job title. I strive to do great work while expanding my knowledge and skills. When a company demonstrates that it cares about me, I give it everything that I can.
