About Scott Kellerman

On March 11, 2011, a historic 9.1 magnitude earthquake and massive tsunami devastated Japan’s northeast coast. Three days later, my Navy helicopter crew flew to a remote elementary school to deliver food and medicine to hundreds of gracious people. I’ll never forget the wide smiles, deep bows of gratitude, and a massive “ USA!” (“Thank you, USA!”) painted on the roof. That moment shaped how I’ve approached the rest of my aviation career—whether supporting hurricane response efforts, flying search and rescue, or building partnerships across services and countries. Over the last 18 years, I’ve led diverse teams in the U.S. Navy, Royal Canadian Air Force, and U.S. Coast Guard, operating in high-pressure environments with a focus on safety, precision, and people-first leadership. I’m a graduate of the University of Florida’s MBA program, the Naval War College (JPME), and the Marine Corps’ Operational Planning School. My professional expertise includes: Aviation Operations Management Crew Resource Management Enterprise-Level Social Media Strategy Aerial Photography and Videography Outside the cockpit, I’m a contributing photographer and videographer to Vertical Magazine. It’s a meaningful creative outlet where I blend storytelling with operational insight, and a way I continue to stay engaged with the broader aviation community beyond flying.
