About Scott Knowlton

With over 30 years experience in post production, and 19 years as a business owner, I am currently the co-owner, Flame artist and editor at Conductor Productions. We are purpose built video production company that handles every aspect of the production process from concepting through finishing. I have extensive experience in post production, working with ad agencies form all over the country and internationally. I have worked with many fantastic brands including Toyota, L.L.Bean, Fanatics, Scottrade, Winter X-Games, TJX, Marshalls, Just For Feet, Verizon, AT & T, Mandalay Bay, and many more. I can work in any part of the process from planning and pre-viz through VFX and final finishing. I also designed and animated the buyatoyota.com button logo you see all over the country. I have worked in Autodesk Flame, Smoke and Fire for the past 30 years. I have done everything from green screen composites and 3D tracking through save-the-day fixes such as removing poppy seeds from a models teeth, or hiding a butt-crack wedgy from a scene. I truly love all aspects of the Flame process, especially the fixes. In 2005, I co-founded Engine Room Edit, a Boston based post production, edit and VFX boutique. Engine Room spawned Brewhouse VFX and Conductor Productions. In 2019, Noah Lydiard and I consolidated these into Conductor Productions as we know it today. When I am not in the Flame seat, you can find me either making ski turns at Killington VT, riding my wakeboard or mountain bike, Hobie Cat sailing, or restoring my antique lake boat. I've also been known to be quite picky on the selection of IPA's out there. I also play guitar when no-one is looking.
