About Scott Laningham

Scott has helped IBM, their partners and customers tell their stories for more than a decade. He is currently a video content strategist and producer with IBM Developer. Scott was one of the first podcasters at IBM and created the popular developerWorks podcast in 2006. He helped create the Livestream broadcast presence at IBM global events where he has been a on-camera personality interviewing executives and attendees on conference themes and business technology trends. IBMers across the company regularly turn to Scott for advice and best practices on rich media publishing. Prior to IBM, Scott was a reporter and show director for news programming syndicated on Public Radio International, and worked as a freelance writer/segment producer for the Osgood Files on CBS Radio. He was awarded the Gold Medal for Business/Finance Reporting by the International Radio Festival of New York. A working musician for 40+ years, Scott is a respected member of Austin, Texas renowned music scene, a regular with the award-winning souljazz quintet Church on Monday, Multi-Grammy winning artist Christopher Cross, and celebrated singer/songwriter Alejandro Escovedo. Scott was a staff composer at Merriman/Patrick/Turner Productions in Dallas, Texas in the 1990s, and also wrote humorous songs featured on the TM Comedy Network, including Moose in My House and Monkey Motel, still heard on radio and mp3 players around the globe.
