As Director of Innovation I develop and articulate a future-focused vision, identify opportunities and create practices to maximize the City's mission and drive alignment within and across the organization's strategic objectives. Plans, organizes, leads, directs and participates in activities focused on the overall leadership and management of the City's information to support smarter decisions. This position provides the City Manager and the City Council with accurate information to support decision making and policy direction and provides effective, strategic leadership, positioning the City to meet the community's current and future needs.I was the Executive Director of Development and Planning for the City of Huntington, in Huntington West Virginia. My duties involved the general supervision and management of the office personnel, the interpretation of HUD regulations and policies as they pertain to the CDBG, HOME, and ESG programs, administration and coordination of the Planning and Zoning Divisions, coordination and implementation of economic development activities in the City of Huntington.The previous seven years I have worked with the Huntington Police Department as a Criminal Intelligence Analyst producing timely and relevant products for officers, informational documents for citizens and local decision makers, and more in-depth reports for the United States Attorneys' Office. I also was assigned to Office of Drug Control Policy to deal with drug addictions issues in the region. I am also a Fusion Liaison Officer with the West Virginia Fusion Center.
