About Scott Lister
Scott Lister is a nurse expert witness, entrepreneur, practising registered nurse and non-practising solicitor. After qualifying as a nurse in 1995, he held a number of senior clinical and management positions within the NHS, where he specialised in critical and intensive care nursing, working in some of London’s largest teaching hospitals. He also worked as a transplant co-ordinator with responsibility for the North Thames region, and contributed to NHS and Royal College of Nursing policy-making. In 2010 he retrained as a solicitor specialising in personal injury and clinical negligence law. At Apex Health Associates, Scott brings two very important skill sets to the company: not only many years of experience and understanding of healthcare issues, but also valuable legal knowledge and expertise as a former solicitor working in a leading legal environment. Scott maintains his clinical skills by practising as a nurse on a part time basis.
