Background
About Scott Madden
I have chosen to go into education more specifically special education because I wanted to help kids just like me. Part of my story is that I was a Special Education student. I know the frustrations and difficulties that go along with having a learning disability. I know how frustrating it can be for students not to be able to read, or write, or do simple math. I know how frustrating it can be at home when mom and dad are trying to help you and all they want is for you to understand. I had a wonderful Special Education teacher that walked with me and my family through that time in my life, I credit her for helping me to learn to read and write. I want to me that person for y students, who challenges them to be the best that they can be, and that just because they are classified with a “disability” doesn’t mean that the “disability” has to define who they are, or can be.
