About Scott Mallory

Bringing together backgrounds in art, philosophy, digital media, education, business, and community building, I founded ISM Creative to launch or support innovations end-to-end for a variety of organizations and new companies across sectors. Through ISM, I work with governments, nonprofits, universities, corporates, startups, funders, and trend-setting communities. I've gotten to work with organizations like TED, Deloitte, Smithsonian, Biennial Foundation, Swissnex, CERN, and TRIUMF (Canada’s particle accelerator centre). At other organizations, I hold periodic roles in program management, communications, art + design faculty, business faculty, R&D, foreign language instruction, and was included in the Top 100 Leaders in Education at Global Forum for Education & Learning. In my personal work as a multimedia artist in visual effects, sound design and music, I've contributed to projects for the TED Conference, Smithsonian, and Biennial Foundation in the culmination of a decade-wide body of work before growing the portfolio into the ISM company. My transferrable advantages come from experience with massive workflow management in the film industry, prototyping high end digital products generations ahead of their time in the visual effects software industry, multi-dimensional research in academia, creative-problem solving from the arts & cultural sector, logic and analysis from philosophy, and formal training as an educator. My personal philosophy is that for as long as we are uncertain about the ultimate nature of reality, we have to believe that anything is possible, and that's what drives my work.
