About Scott Mansfield

My name is Scott Mansfield and I am currently seeking a coaching position within your school so please let me introduce myself. I was born and raised in the great state of Texas to two wonderful parents. My mother is a finance assistant director for my hometown of The Colony and my dad is a Psychology teacher and history chair at Duncanville High School. I have one older brother who is now working on his doctorate at Clemson University. I completed my undergraduate degree at Wayland Baptist University in Plainview, Texas and majored in social studies composite with a specialization in education. With my dad being a teacher and a coach, he really spread his passion for teaching and coaching to me has lead me to follow in his footsteps but with my own little twist on it. Right out of Wayland, I accepted a position at Hill College in Hillsboro, Texas where I helped with recruiting and helped run the pitching staff. After one year there, I was offered a position at Northern Oklahoma College in Enid, OK where I am still currently employed. I also run the pitching staff here, run recruiting new players, helping our sophomores further their careers to a four year university, enroll our incoming freshman into classes as well as organizing practice schedules, games, and helping ordering equipment. Within my seven years of college coaching, I have been blessed with the coaches I’ve been around that have shared their knowledge and experiences with me to help me grow as a coach. I have a passion for baseball and I have found that I have a passion for teaching and communicating with students and players. I believe that if given the chance to take over this position within your school, I could help improve on the success that has been built up to this point.
