Civil Engineer now. Journeymen Electrician in first part of my working life. I worked in the Electrical Construction industry on many projects. While working in this industry, I worked at steel mills, factories, car manufacturing plants, nuclear plants, grocery stores, as well as many other commercial and industrial projects. I had the opportunity to work on anything from fiber optic splicing,high voltage splicing, refrigeration, conduit bending, etc. I was also a foreman on quite a few projects, with up to 10 workers. I was injured while doing a traffic signal project and then choose a career that would require less physical labor. That is when I choose to go college. Although my main emphasis was environmental engineering, my career path ended up in transportation engineering. I have been the resident on many projects. I have supervised the construction of new bridges, complete removal and replacement of roads, earth embankment construction, bituminous and concrete paving, erosion prevention, bridge paint removal and replacement, and many other road related projects.
