Building Teams and Integrating Multifaceted Work Streams • Developed three teams that conducted three large scale training exercises, training over personnel in two states and multiple islands with each exercise costing an average of $4 million. • Built a cohesive team of over 550 team members that deployed to Afghanistan, operating independent of its higher headquarters and doubling the area under central government control. • As the Army’s Senior Advisor to the Hawaii National Guard, developed the relationships and systems for the first mobilization of personnel outside of the United States (Guam). This reduced their time for deployment by over 2 months. Developing Strategy and Building Sustainable Solutions • In close coordination with 3 worldwide organizations including up to people across 3 continents and several staff directors on the headquarters staff, significantly improved the training programs for the entire Army prior to deployment, ensuring all personnel were prepared for future operations. • Created and implemented the strategic engagement plan for the Army’s operating concept integrating national media, meetings with industry, congressional interactions, and domestic and international think tanks. • Using an automated decision tool, created the system of decision and task tracking for the senior executives of the Army. This resulted in over a 25% reduction in the time to make decisions. Leading and Developing Top Performing Talent and Operations • Worked independently within a global organization that covered the entire Pacific Ocean with of over personnel to train and develop multiple international teams from six countries from Australia to Singapore. Awarded the Legion of Merit Medal for exceptionally meritorious service. • As a Director and Senior Manager, consistently invested in the development of junior personnel inspiring them to accomplish the toughest assignments. Many of these team leaders were selected for promotion to the highest leadership positions.
