About Scott Morrison

I have eighteen years of experience in the research and development of advanced thin-film devices, device interconnects, and materials research. My areas of expertise include include surface-modifying thin film polymers, electrochromic devices, solar cells (inorganic and organic), flexible solar cell interconnects, thin film transistors, and photodetectors. I have eight years of industrial experience with the installation and testing of vacuum CVD deposition equipment at various customers’ facilities worldwide.including complete turnkey facilities. I have expertise with various CVD and PVD deposition techiques, including Plasma Enhanced CVD, Hot Wire CVD, MOCVD, and RF and DC sputtering. I am well versed in the safe handling of dangerous materials used in amorphous silicon deposition (such as silane, diborane, phosphine, etc.). I am also experienced with the deposition and characterization of thin-film materials and devices, and expert at troubleshooting film properties as well as vacuum deposition equipment. Specialties: Thin film deposition and characterization, thin film device construction and measurement. CVD vacuum deposition equipment construction, operation, and maintenance.
