Scott Alexander Naar is a Jamaican-born screenwriter and director with more than ten years of professional experience directing short films, music videos and commercials. His films have screened at festivals across the country including FilmQuest, HorrOrigins, Atlanta Sci-Fi Film Festival, Miami Shorts Film Festival, and LA Film Symposium, and he has optioned and sold several scripts. His 2021 horror short,"Willow & Lydia," is currently on the festival circuit, and his 2020 horror short "Umbra," has garnered more than ten thousand views on Youtube. Scott's most recent directing venture was a short film co-written with Sarah in March 2022, which highlights the horrors of immigration in the United States, a subject he's extremely passionate about given his own experiences. Scott is excited to direct his first feature film in 2024, Matriarch, a venture into the world of folk horror wrapped in family dysfunction and modern problems.
