About Scott Ostendorf

I have spent the past few years completing my undergraduate degree from the University of Utah, as well as recently acquiring an English teaching certificate from Trinity College London in an effort to continue my education. Along with my education, I have over ten years of customer service and public relations experience, and have worked in a variety of professional positions in order to achieve a diverse and rich work background. I have been a team member for both multi-national corporations, and family owned businesses, and have shown my ability to adapt and excel in any number of work environments while successfully completing a variety of tasks and responsibilities. Most recently I worked as a Tour Director for Premier Alaska Tours, where my responsibilities included organizing, planning, and operating long distance tours and expeditions for groups and individual tours, providing informative narrative and historical information, administering instructions and coordination with up to fifty-two guests per tour. Working with new groups of guests as their liaison during their vacations was rewarding and engaging work. I enjoy working and interacting with people, listening to their concerns, all while trying to provide them with a positive and memorable experience.I have worked with people for the majority of my professional life, and have a steady record of positive impact. I have learned many skills and values from my previous employment history, and can provide strong references upon request. From simple customer service jobs like bartending, to further interpersonal work like tour directing, and even more academically inclined endeavors like teaching, I cherish my opportunities to work with, and help people, and think that I can be a valuable member of the community.
