About Scott Patterson

Scott is an internationally experienced leader, advisor, and strategist whose career has focused exclusively in Financial services and Fintech in the Australian, UK, Irish, and Asian markets. During a 15+ year career he has worked as a banker, and business/digital product/and transformation leader with NAB Group, ANZ, and RBS. He also led the APAC Fintech sector team of Irish Government backed VC, and trade and economic development agency Enterprise Ireland where he and his team supported the scaling and growth ambitions of Irish Fintech founders. That was until he was asked to join the APAC leadership team of former client, and Ireland's first Fintech unicorn Fenergo where he works today on the development of their technology, government, and advisory partner eco-system whilst also leading efforts into opening a number of new and emerging markets across Asia! University educated with a Bachelor of Social Science from RMIT and Fintech qualification through University of Oxford, Scott is also an Academic Tutor on the Oxford Executive Fintech Program (after being asked to come back after being a student), and is also an early-stage Fintech investor and advisor. Outside of work he is a mentor to students from RMIT and Latrobe Universities and a scout with the Essendon Football Club. Scott’s peers, those he had led, and been led by have described him as relentlessly driven, analytical, and strategic, with a pragmatic approach to solving problems and an entrepreneurial mindset. His leadership style is strategic, innovative and highly inclusive. In the past he has had top 2% organizational engagement and drives incremental growth through caring but respectfully challenging relationships with his team, thoughtful use of technology and data, and a relentless focus on improvement, a bit of fun, and an unwavering focus on the client. Scott has a curiosity for learning unlearning and continually transforming and is equal parts thinker, disrupter, and executer.
