A Senior IT Executive with a passion for creating innovative, robust and scalable technology platforms and highly motivated and productive teams to develop, manage and optimise the technology offering. Over twelve years working for SmartGroup, I have overseen ICT during a period of transformation as the business rapidly grew by acquisition and organic growth. A key achievement of my time in this role has been integrating new acquisitions and developing systems and processes capable of supporting growth. Not content with simply containing and supporting the impacts of growth, I have also been instrumental in driving cost reduction measures, such as introducing cloud infrastructure to reduce operational costs, and enabling a more flexible business structure for future growth. Once a steady state was achieved I have driven fit for purpose governance and a strong focus on capability uplift in Automated testing, Business Analyst and SME knowledge and technology landscape simplification. Before undertaking my current role, I worked in a number of high-profile financial services businesses, taking a similar approach to technology strategy identifying opportunities to achieve both cost savings and future-proof capabilities through innovative new applications and infrastructure. Although I am highly motivated by being a part of leading edge enterprise-level solutions that are driving exceptional business outcomes, I also believe that technologies are unlocked by high performing and highly motivated teams. In my recent role, one of my proudest achievements has been the remediation of low employee engagement levels through visible leadership on the one hand and tangible structures for reward and development on the other.
