Scott A. Pummell is a business lawyer who practices health law and corporate law. Mr. Pummell represents health care providers, health care organizations, owner-operated businesses, and professionals. Mr. Pummell has represented major health systems, national health group purchasing organizations, senior living facilities, multi-specialty physician groups, rural health centers, imaging centers, ambulatory surgery centers, and individual providers. Mr. Pummell also advises corporations, limited liability companies, and partnerships regarding business formation, corporate governance, and general operations. This includes advice regarding structuring businesses, buying and selling businesses, negotiating contracts and leases, providing regulatory advice, real estate matters, and structuring joint ventures. Mr. Pummell counsels health care providers and entities on issues such as group purchasing, clinical research matters, the Stark law, Medicare compliance, reimbursement, telemedicine, and more. Mr. Pummell also has handled commercial litigation and trial and appellate work, including business litigation and corporate disputes. Mr. Pummell, who began his legal career as the Law Clerk to the Honorable Paul C. Wilson of the Missouri Supreme Court, has successfully represented clients in appeals to the Missouri Supreme Court, the Missouri Court of Appeals, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.
