About Scott Ring

26 plus years of experience in manufacturing, distribution, transportation and safety. As a site safety leader, I was required to complete new hire safety orientation and provide training on forklift operation, Lock out Tag out and confined space. I am experienced in leading the accident investigation process, developing position specific safe work practices and have completed site specific business continuity programs. I also gained experience with heavy construction equipment. I was part of the commissioning team for a new 75 million dollar French Fry manufacturing facility. During the 18 month project, I scheduled the contracted workers for each stage to ensure a smooth and accident free project During my time as Safety Director, I was required to interact with drivers, dock teams, department heads and the public. I consider myself to be a people person who works well with others and a good communicator. I am a results oriented person who uses hard data and trending to guide decisions and focus. As part of my responsibilities, I oversaw the company self-insurance program specific to highway accidents. I led a team of 10 accident adjusters who investigated root cause, liability, and preventability. I and my team worked with field adjusters and appraisers as part of the investigation process to ensure adequate financial reserving was in place for each file.
