A proven and adaptable senior leader, having held executive roles in large scale and start-up businesses. Currently on the Executive Team and Board of a high-growth technology business through scale-up and exit by acquisition. In addition to Executive leadership, responsibilities have extended widely in managing the organisation, including Finance, HR/People, Commercial, Quality & Regulatory and Operations. Led on all material commercial contract negotiations. Previously Managing Director at Accenture, leading their Finance & Accounting consulting business in the UK. Worked in the finance arena for the more than 30 years, starting as a Chartered Accountant in practice. Significant business leadership experience which includes finance, strategy, product development, sales, commercial deal shaping, operations, team leadership, business development, delivery, recruitment, training, asset development, career mentoring and community engagement. Through client work, held senior positions on a broad variety of initiatives including, as example, Finance Director on the world's largest IT transformation programme with budgets in excess of $1bn. Various roles have brought considerable cross-functional exposure beyond finance, including operations, risk, HR, legal, IT and change. Project experiences include technology, financial management & transformation, robotic process automation, BPO, cost reduction, cost allocation, benchmarking, regulatory change, shared services, operating model / organisation design, financial modelling & analysis and programme management. Industry experience includes technology, consulting, financial services, telecoms, life sciences, oil & gas, tourism, and the public sector. Living in Edinburgh, enjoy family time, football (coaching and following - no longer playing!), property management and socialising with friends. Qualified football coach to UEFA C (childrens) level. Have run the London Marathon (sub 4 hours!), and climbed Mount Kilimanjaro. Previously I have been a post-care advisor for the Princes Trust Youth Business Scotland.
