About Scott Saathoff
Scott is a 2011 graduate of Kansas State University with a Master of Public Health with emphasis in food safety, biosecurity, and food defense. He served the Kansas Dept. of Agriculture’s Food Safety Department by conducting food safety inspections, training inspectors, serving as a Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) subject matter specialist, and was a commissioned FDA inspector. Before arriving at Elias Scott was the Principal Investigator/Lab Manager for Ansera Analytics. Here, he directed the development of novel, patented devices for environmental sampling and for biological sample transport. He also directed the contract work for a Department of Defense Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosives (CBRNE) reconnaissance project. Scott is HACCP and Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) certified. He has extensive knowledge, expertise, and experience in Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) and the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA). Scott possesses the ability to synthesize complex information and communicate key points to team members, management, or corporate executives. He has a keen interest and skill set for scientific technical writing and oral presentation of such content.
