About Scott Schropp

I am a leader of the Iles Schropp Group, a nationally recognized wealth management and institutional consulting team at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management. Our Group works to address the wealth management needs of an exclusive group of affluent individuals and families throughout the country, as well as a select number of foundations, endowments and other nonprofit institutions. I am both a Wealth Management Advisor and a Global Institutional Consultant, two prominent roles within Merrill Lynch Wealth Management that require extensive accreditation. I understand the complex challenges that can accompany significant wealth. My goal is to bring world-class resources to clients by providing a small "family-office" mindset grounded firmly in client priorities. My team's in-depth knowledge of endowments and foundations aligns with the long-term legacy aspirations of the clients we serve. Prior to joining The Iles Schropp Group in I served as President and CEO of Merrill Lynch Trust Bank of Michigan. I have a deep understanding of 501(c)(3) rules and regulations. I draw on this knowledge to help institutional clients create sustainability and intergenerational equity. I also work passionately to educate the board and staff members of nonprofit and independent sector organizations. My team and I help clients pursue meaningful goals, grounded in transparency and a disciplined process. I invite individuals, families, and institutions-as well as their tax and legal advisors-to learn more about the echelon of service, strategy, and coordination that our team can provide.
