About Scott Sears

I’ve been designing for humans long before “UX” was a buzzword. Today, I’m a UX Director with over 30 years of experience leading design and product teams around the world—from Jamaica to Saudi Arabia. I’ve worked on Self-Care platforms, eCommerce flows, identity systems, and POS software, all while navigating the messy, rewarding space between user needs, business goals, and technical reality. I’m NN/g certified in UX management, research, and interaction design. But more importantly, I know how to turn those skills into action: facilitating workshops, aligning cross-functional teams, and advocating for users when the pressure is to just “ship it.” My approach is systems-based but people-driven. I believe in the power of token-based design systems, smart handoff workflows, and collaborative governance—but I also know that a well-timed user quote or whiteboard sketch can change the entire room. I’ve led teams, mentored junior designers, and worked with C-level stakeholders across continents. I’ve also seen how UX gets sidelined—and how to fight for it when it matters.
