About Scott Sembaluk

I have over 15 years of engineering experience in both Canada and the United States. For most of my career I have worked on high profile projects for the City of Edmonton and I'm looking for new opportunities. During this time, I've developed a skill of creating dynamic multidisciplinary teams, and leading them through the foggy field of project initiation. Ambiguity should not be something that is feared but an opportunity to excel. I'm always looking for the next exciting opportunity. Some high profile projects I've worked on include: bids on international events (ex. EXPO 2017), repurposing of major infrastructure (ex. Remands Centre), development of an arts and music Centre (Galleria), and construction of a major sports facility and entertainment district (Rogers Place and Ice District). Currently I’m leading the transitions of over 160 acres of land from Northlands ownership to the City of Edmonton and working with partners to successfully host events on the remainder lands. What is common with all these projects is that there were no templates, or standard to follow to get these projects off the ground. Partnerships, strategies, processes, and financial analysis all had to be developed. Understanding how to bring together the key players and providing direction when no clear one exists, is what I bring to a project.
