I am currently a Vice President and Senior Underwriter in BBVA Compass' Small Business Loan Center where we underwrite loans up to $2.5MM. I've been in banking since graduating with my bachelor's degree from Mississippi State University in May 1987. While employed full-time I went to school at night and completed my Master degree at Mississippi State in August 1989.Prior to college I spent 4 years in the US Air Force as an intelligence analyst with an SCI access level security clearance.Over my career I have been involved in day to day management and supervision of people. I have also helped write both process and procedure manuals as well as credit policy manuals. In addition to the internal (non-sales) work I have spent several years in the retail and sales side of banking (branch management), and I have also performed internal audits as well as regulatory reviews.Pursuing my love of the outdoors, I do some pro staffing for Sportsman's News, the official publication for Sportsman's Warehouse. In 2008 my elk hunt in Colorado was filmed for the outdoors television show "Living The Wildlife" previously broadcast on The Pursuit Channel. I have been filmed on a October 2010 mule deer hunt in Wyoming and a 2012 antelope hunt in Wyoming. Both were filmed for the Sportsman's News TV DVD series. In addition to the television and video work, I am a freelance writer doing product reviews and feature stories on both hunting and fishing.I have had several articles and product reviews published in Sportsman's News, ISO Outdoors Magazine, and Southern Trout magazine.Specialties: Credit analysis, product reviews, feature story writer, fund raising, and people and process and management.
