Scott has had extensive general practice experience since 1989, including bench and jury trials in both the Rhode Island District and Superior Courts, appearances before the Rhode Island Supreme Court, the United States District Court for the district of Rhode Island, the United States Bankruptcy Court for the district of Rhode Island, and the United States First Circuit Court of Appeals, as well as before state and municipal administrative agencies and boards. Scott provides trusted advice and counsel to the Collaborative's individual, family, and business clients, and serves as outside general counsel to a number of prominent Rhode Island businesses. Scott is a seasoned general practice lawyer who has been voted by his peers as among the 50 best lawyers in Rhode Island, and as one of the top two lawyers for business counseling (Rhode Island Monthly magazine, 2/98).
