Peace officer and investigator for over 16 years in the field of animal protection and welfare. • Conduct investigations into alleged abuse and neglect of animals in Ontario. • Served as member of OSPCA Rescue and Relief Unit and appointed to OSPCA Major Case Management Team in 2014. • • Participated in joint-forces operations with various police and law enforcement agencies for investigations of animal cruelty including dog-fighting and sexual misconduct (bestiality) with animals. Intelligence analysis and preparation of reports on current organized dog-fighting operations in Ontario. •While with the OSPCA, assisted in facilitating training of provincial legislation relating to animal welfare as part of POA training new, police and other enforcement agencies (Toronto Police, Ministry of Natural Resources, City of Mississauga) • Served as a member of the Ontario Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services (MCSCS) Technical Advisory Group for amendments to the OSPCA Act to include standards of care for Marine Mammals in 2015.
