About Scott Trautwein

I have over 20 years of IT experience in education, as well as a Bachelors of Science in Computer Science from the University of Wyoming. I have managed every aspect of IT, including: network systems (WAN, LAN and Wifi), information systems, application development, instructional technology, security, audio/visual, print services, procurement, and document management. I also maintained meticulous records to assess and improve upon all necessary functions of technology, including inventory, trouble tickets and project prioritization. Staff, students and stakeholders have expressed appreciation in their abilities to utilize reliable, effective technology to perform their duties, homework and other tasks. My leadership experience includes supervising large groups of diverse staff (20+), Cabinet level and Board level leadership, managing large projects and budgets, and strategic planning/contracting, both short and long term. I have managed annual budgets of over $2 Million, oversaw projects as large as $70 Million, and obtained over $1 Million in grants. I currently serve as the Northeast Region Director for the Colorado Association of Leaders in Educational Technology, a Statewide organization with over 100 members. My systems have been complimented as ‘running like a well oiled machine’, and I take pride in making sure users experience little downtime so productivity is never affected. I also insist on having contingency plans in place so users have other options to perform their tasks if a primary piece of equipment stops working. I believe in always providing excellent customer service to anyone who uses our systems, and continually evaluate and try to improve on all aspects of the company’s IT footprint.
